Why I Love Australian Reporting
A seven metre great white has been spotted in Tuggerah lake.
Quote of the day?
“It wouldn’t even fit in that lake, I don’t know how deep the entrance is but you’d need several metres for a shark that big to get into it.
“A large shark like that would stick out like dog’s balls.“
Pure class. I love it.
Pammy Vs KFC
Pamela Anderson is entering the Big Brother house for three days tonight, it’s VERY well documented that Pammy is a PETA nut, I won’t go into my thoughts on PETA because I don’t want to enter a flame war with an anonymous passer-by, but lets just say they’re not that flattering.
Whilst she’s here Pamela has decided to kill two bird with one stone and will be contacting KFC to have a bitch at them about their treatment of their chickens… just as soon as she’s done being a guest star on the show that is sponsored by none other than the Colonel himself.
I am greatly amused
Radiohead Vs Prince
Prince did an awesome cover at Coachella this year, Radiohead’s “Creep”, too bad I can’t share it with you as Prince is busy suing any site that uses his music and images faster than they can hit the bahleet button, now Radiohead has calling shenanigans.
From Yahoo! News -
All videos of Prince’s unique rendition of Radiohead’s early hit were quickly taken down, leaving only a message that his label, NPG Records, had removed the clips, claiming a copyright violation. But the posted videos were shot by fans and, obviously, the song isn’t Prince’s.
In a recent interview, Thom Yorke said he heard about Prince’s performance from a text message and thought it was “hilarious.” Yorke laughed when his bandmate, guitarist Ed O’Brien, said the blocking had prevented him from seeing Prince’s version of their song.
“Really? He’s blocked it?” asked Yorke, who figured it was their song to block or not. “Surely we should block it. Hang on a moment.”
Yorke added: “Well, tell him to unblock it. It’s our … song.”
Now I make no secret of it, I love the purple one’s music, and I do enjoy his ecentricty, but I will be the first to admit that he’s an idiot when it comes his obsessive war against fans who simply want to enjoy his music, and he seems intent on self destruction. Just like the article says, it’s not his song, it’s not his video clip, it’s not his to copyright.
I propose that Radiohead cover a load of prince songs and release them all over the interwebs in retaliation, because if Radiohead have no choice in keeping the “Creep” clip up, then it’s only fair that Prince has no say in pulling their clips down. I’d love to see The Artist’s face when he “Internet Watchers” informed him of that one.
Survivor In The Classroom
Melissa Barton said she is considering legal action after her son’s kindergarten teacher led his classmates to vote him out of class.
After each classmate was allowed to say what they didn’t like about Barton’s 5-year-old son, Alex, his Morningside Elementary teacher Wendy Portillo said they were going to take a vote, Barton said.
By a 14 to 2 margin, the students voted Alex — who is in the process of being diagnosed with autism — out of the class.
Melissa Barton filed a complaint with Morningside’s school resource officer, who investigated the matter, Port St. Lucie Department spokeswoman Michelle Steele said. But the state attorney’s office concluded the matter did not meet the criteria for emotional child abuse, so no criminal charges will be filed, Steele said.
My jaw is on the floor at this one, now I’ll admit I’m not the mellow one in our marriage, Dan is very laid back and I tend to get fired up and angry over things, but despite that I’m very much a pacifist… that said, if this was my son I would have not hesitated in going into that classroom and flattening that teacher.
I just can’t believe that this social exclusion and outright bullying cannot be considered emotional abuse and this woman is allowed to continue practising. No matter what kind of behavioural issues this child had relating to his autism, public humiliation is certainly not the way to go.

Heath Ledger Found Dead In New York City
It’s not very often that I’m truly shocked by a “famous death”, but I can’t believe Heath Ledger is dead. I’ve always been a fan and I just never thought of him as being the kind of celebrity so stupid as to take drugs, particularly when he had he young daughter. He was just fab, I’ve loved him in everything he’s been in and I’ve been really looking forward to the new Batman movie, the released pictures of him as The Joker looked amazing, it should be interesting to see what they do with it now.
Just In, Your Child Will Become Gay Just From Reading About It
He said the parents do not want to dictate curriculum, but do want to be able to remove their young children from classrooms when homosexuality or gay marriage is being discussed.
“What they fear is that their children are being brainwashed,” he said.
Anger At Gay Book For Child - SMH
Gah, this stuff really bothers me, I just really don’t know where to start my bitching on this one, they’re the same type of idiots that tried to get picture books that depicted nursing removed from libraries.
I'm a twenty something WAHM, originally from England and now living in a land downunder.
